Announcement    Hello, and welcome! Here, I offer art, invitations + party printables, and teaching tools.

Half of all profits from Moon and the Mountains sales go to the Charis Project, a non-profit organization working in Thailand whose aim is to protect at-risk children by first supporting families in crisis. Did you know that most orphans in Southeast Asia have living parents who chose to sell their children into trafficking or give them up to an orphanage because of extreme poverty or lack of support? The Charis Project keeps families together by providing tangible support, community, and accessible education to empower individuals to raise their families with confidence. In addition, they are helping empower individuals to start businesses and achieve financial freedom. To learn more, visit www.thecharisproject.org or on facebook at www.facebook.com/thecharisproject, or instagram @thecharisproject. I am proud to say I've been in partnership with them since 2010 when I opened my business and am continually excited by the work they are doing.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

If you’re interested in having one of my designs customized, please contact me for a price quote or read on for more information on customizations.

If you’re hoping to have the wording changed on one of my invitations, such as the yellow calligraphy on my bee designs, that calligraphy is actually hand-drawn, so cannot be edited like the other text. If you would like to be able to change that wording, I can customize it for a $10 fee in addition to the file cost. Alternatively, I can send you a file that has the text as a font, which you can edit yourself. If you'd like to do that, just send me a message upon purchase & I'll send the file(s) to you.

At this time, I am not taking on any custom orders which involve custom illustration.

Can the yellow text be edited on one of the bee designs?

The yellow calligraphy on my bee designs is actually hand-drawn, so cannot be edited like the other text. If you would like to be able to change that wording, I can customize it for a $10 fee in addition to the file cost. Contact me if you’re interested in doing that. Alternatively, I can send you a file that has the text as a font, which you can edit yourself. If you'd like to do that, just send me a message upon purchase & I'll send the file(s) to you.

Do you edit the invitation file or do I?

Actually, the invitations I offer are ones which you are able to download & edit yourself (with the exception of my Bee Wedding invitation). Upon purchase, you will be able to download your file(s) from the “Purchases & Reviews” page on Etsy. You then open your file(s) in Adobe Reader (which is a free program) or Acrobat, and you are able to edit the text as you like. To change font or font size, etc, select the text you wish to edit and press Control-E (or Command-E on Mac). Please contact me if you have any questions about editing!

How do I edit my file once purchased?

To edit your file, you'll need to open it in Adobe Reader (which is a free program) or Acrobat, and then you'll be able to click the text to edit. To change formatting such as font, text size etc, select the text you want to change and press Control-E (or Command-E for Mac). A window will pop up which you can use to change font, text size, etc. Please contact me if you have any questions about editing!

How do I save my file as a JPG?

Unfortunately, Adobe Reader does not allow you to save as a .jpg. If you need your file as a .jpg, go ahead and send your edited PDF to me and I will convert it to .jpg for you and send it back.

How do I download my digital file(s)?

To download, from the Etsy website, you'll click on the "Your Account" drop-down menu, and then select "Purchases and Reviews". From that page you should be able to see your recent purchases, and see a link to download your files. Please contact me if you have any trouble, I’d be happy to help.

For the printable party packs, can I purchase separate items in the bundle?

Sorry, but I don't separate the items in the bundle, unless you’d only like 1-2 items. The reason for this, is that if I were to charge for each item individually, I'd charge ~$5 each, and the bundle is priced with the thought that most people really only will use 3-4 of the files. The rest of the files are a bonus. Let me know any other questions! If you do want to purchase individual pieces, contact me for an exact price quote.

I purchased a digital invitation, why are there 2 invitation files?

The file that ends in "single" is the invitation alone (5x7"): for use if sending digitally or uploading to a printing service.
The other file, which ends in "2PerPage", has 2 on an 8.5x11" page with crop marks: intended for printing at home or at a print shop.

What are the options for printing?

For printing, you have 4 options:
1. You can print at home on a card stock of your choice, & cut them out using the crop marks printed on the sheets.
2. I offer printing services, contact me for a price quote.
3. Use an online print service & upload the design (I've only used Costco for this, but there any many other options if you search "invitation printing" online!). Vistaprint.com is a popular choice.
4. Print somewhere such as Staples or Fedex or your local print shop. You can either use one of their self-serve machines, or you can have the staff print for you, & they may even be able to do the cutting for you (though that will vary store to store). Often they’ll have a paper cutter you can use, or you can cut them out at home.

What paper/envelopes do you recommend?

For paper, any nice card stock will work. I personally love Neenah brand 110# cover stock, in Classic Crest finish, Classic Natural White color. 110# cover stocks are heavier than a typical card stock, which I think feels nicer. Classic crest is a smooth finish, and Classic natural white is a lovely cream color. This particular stock is pretty pricy, though, & there are many other good ones out there!

For envelopes, any will work, but if you’re looking for a wide selection of colored envelopes, I order from PaperPresentation.com.

For the striped twine shown in several of my invitation listings, it’s called Baker’s twine & can be found at craft stores or on Amazon in different colors.
